We build the software businesses run on.

Shipman Global is a privately owned company that designs and develops business solutions — software built to solve a real operational problem, not to chase a trend. Janus, our CRM for tradespeople, is one example of what that looks like in practice.

Who we are

Privately owned. Built to last, not to exit.

We're not backed by a fund with a five-year clock. Shipman Global is privately held, which means every decision — what we build, who we build it for, how long we're willing to work on something before it's right — is ours to make. That independence shows up in the software itself: fewer shortcuts, more attention to the parts that are tedious to get right but matter most to the people using it every day.

What we do

We develop business solutions.

We work with the businesses that keep the world running — the ones doing the actual job, not just managing a spreadsheet about the job — and build them software that fits how they actually operate. That means:

  • Understanding the operator, not just the requirements. The best software solves a problem someone can describe in one sentence, even if solving it takes months.

  • Building for the day-to-day, not the demo. Software has to hold up on a job site, on a phone, with spotty signal and someone who didn't sign up to learn a new tool.

  • Owning the outcome, not just the delivery. We stay close to what we build after it ships — a product that we continue to invest in for the benefit of our clients.

Proof point

Janus: a solution built for how businesses actually work

Janus is a mobile-first digital front door for local service businesses; built around a simple idea: capture the lead the moment it comes in, score it automatically, and put it in front of the business owner on the phone they're already holding.

It's the kind of software Shipman Global exists to build: practical, built for a specific business reality, and designed to run your day-to-day.
